- Petrox Resources Corp. is a Calgary, Alberta-based junior oil and natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas in Canada, principally within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The Company’s core activities include the operation and development of its wholly owned Fletwode property in Saskatchewan, comprising six wells targeting the Tilston Formation, and its wholly owned Bashaw property in Alberta, comprising approximately 110 acres targeting light oil in the Nisku Formation. Petrox produces and markets crude oil, natural gas and associated natural-gas liquids where applicable, and evaluates undeveloped, underutilized and stranded-hydrocarbon assets for production, redevelopment and monetization opportunities. The Company serves Canadian energy markets and is pursuing the conversion of stranded or otherwise flared natural gas into on-site power and digital-infrastructure-related revenue streams.
Founded in 2011 and formerly known as Petrox Capital Corp. until its August 2012 name change, Petrox is headquartered at Suite 3001, 505 6th Street SW, Calgary, Alberta. Its common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol PTC.
During 2026, Petrox has advanced a cash-flow-first expansion strategy that combines conventional oil and gas operations with power-generation opportunities. In August 2026, the Company entered into an assignment, novation and assumption agreement to acquire contractual rights and obligations under a power-generation development and cooperation agreement involving PCC Digital ULC and Bennu Holdings, LLC. The arrangement provides for Petrox to participate in evaluating and developing on-site power projects, with PCC Digital leading power-generation development and Bennu assessing sites for potential data-centre use; the transaction also includes a US$250,000 secured loan receivable, potential participation in net cash flow from designated power sites and rights of first refusal on future projects. Petrox also entered into a non-binding term sheet dated August 28, 2026 with International Energy (HK) Group Limited for the potential supply of natural gas from its Alberta and Saskatchewan properties to gas-fired power-generation equipment to be supplied, owned and operated by International Energy at the relevant sites. These initiatives support Petrox’s strategic shift toward monetizing stranded and flared gas through energy-to-compute and on-site generation applications while retaining Saskatchewan oil and natural gas operations as its principal business.
