Exchange Place Advisors Trust—North Square RCIM Tax-Advantaged Preferred and Income Securities ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund launched on December 19, 2024 and listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker QTPI. The Fund seeks high current income and long-term capital appreciation, with an emphasis on tax-advantaged qualified dividend income and maximizing after-tax yield. It is sponsored and advised by North Square Investments LLC and subadvised by Red Cedar Investment Management LLC; the Fund is domiciled in the United States and is organized as a series of Exchange Place Advisors Trust.
The Fund invests, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in preferred and debt securities that at issuance are eligible to pay dividends qualifying for favorable U.S. federal income-tax treatment. Its principal holdings may include fixed-rate preferred securities; variable-rate and floating-rate preferred securities; REIT preferred securities; bond-equivalent preferred securities; convertible preferred securities; contingent convertible securities; senior and subordinated debt securities; and other capital securities issued by financial institutions, REITs and other corporate issuers. QTPI expects qualifying distributions to include qualified dividend income and qualified REIT dividends, and uses fundamental research, proprietary analysis and a quantitative credit-screening process to seek relative value while seeking to limit issuer default and downgrade risk.
QTPI primarily serves U.S. investors seeking exchange-traded exposure to income-oriented preferred and capital securities with an after-tax-income focus. Its portfolio may include U.S. and non-U.S. issuers and has meaningful exposure to financial-sector preferred securities and corporate debt instruments; third-party portfolio data reported holdings across developed Europe and North America.
The Fund’s principal recent strategic development is its December 2024 launch by North Square Investments, which expanded the sponsor’s actively managed ETF offering through a preferred-securities strategy subadvised by Red Cedar Investment Management. In October 2025, North Square announced that Red Cedar Investment Management had exceeded $1 billion in assets under management across North Square Funds, reflecting the continued expansion of the subadviser’s North Square fund mandates, including QTPI.
