Business
Reunion Neuroscience Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative serotonergic psychedelic therapeutics for underserved mental health disorders, including postpartum depression and adjustment disorder. The company advances RE104, its lead product candidate, a proprietary patented prodrug of 4-OH-DiPT designed to provide a short-duration psychedelic experience with rapid onset, durable antidepressant effects, and a favorable safety profile similar to psilocybin but lasting 3-4 hours; RE245, a discovery-stage non-psychedelic molecule structurally akin to classic psychedelics with selective serotonin 2A receptor potency and no off-target 5HT2B agonism for chronic treatment indications; and the preclinical RE200 series of compounds targeting enhanced receptor selectivity for additional neuropsychiatric applications. RE104 undergoes evaluation in the RECONNECT Phase 2 trial for moderate-to-severe postpartum depression, with last patient dosing completed in May 2025, and the planned REKINDLE Phase 2 trial for adjustment disorder in cancer and other medical illnesses. Founded in 2022 as a successor to Field Trip Health Ltd. and previously taken private in August 2023 via a US$13.1 million transaction with MPM BioImpact, Reunion Neuroscience is headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, and operates primarily in North America. In May 2024, the company closed a $103 million Series A financing round co-led by MPM BioImpact and Novo Holdings, with participation from Arkin Bio Capital, Mitsui & Co. Global Investment, Plaisance Capital, FemHealth Ventures, and Palo Santo, to fund clinical pipeline advancement. Recent milestones include publication of RE104 Phase 1 data in The Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology in July 2025.
