RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI), founded in 1965 and headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, underwrites specialty property and casualty insurance and surety bonds through subsidiaries RLI Insurance Company, Mt. Hawley Insurance Company, and Contractors Bonding and Insurance Company, all rated A+ Superior by AM Best; its core offerings span commercial and personal lines including casualty products such as general liability, professional liability, cyber liability, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, and workers compensation; property coverages for small to mid-sized contractors, inland marine, commercial automobile, and excess; transportation insurance for trucking, public auto, commercial specialty auto, excess and surplus auto, and moving and storage; executive products encompassing fiduciary liability and fidelity; and surety solutions featuring commercial surety bonds for medium to large businesses, small bonds for businesses and individuals, and contract bonds for small to medium-sized contractors, distributed nationwide via branch offices, wholesale and retail brokers, independent agents, and carrier partners in the specialty admitted and excess and surplus markets. The company operates principally in the United States with a focus on niche risks for businesses, contractors, transportation fleets, and individuals. In November 2025, RLI Transportation announced a strategic partnership with Netradyne to integrate AI-driven Driver i video telematics for enhanced fleet safety, offering premium discounts of up to 5% for dual-facing dashcam users and up to 2% for outward-facing cameras, alongside customized risk management; earlier in 2025, RLI executed a two-for-one stock split effective January 15 and reported strong third-quarter results with $60.5 million underwriting income on an 85.1 combined ratio, 12% net investment income growth, and 26% book value per share increase since year-end 2024, while declaring a $2.00 special dividend alongside its regular payment and maintaining 50 consecutive years of dividend increases and 29 years of underwriting profits.
