Business
RLJ Lodging Trust, a self-advised publicly traded real estate investment trust founded in 2011 and headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, owns premium-branded, high-margin, focused-service and compact full-service hotels concentrated in major urban markets across 23 states and the District of Columbia. The portfolio comprises approximately 103 hotels with over 22,000 rooms, plus an interest in one unconsolidated hotel with 171 rooms, affiliated primarily with brands including Marriott (Residence Inn, Courtyard, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites), Hilton (Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Embassy Suites, DoubleTree), and Hyatt (Hyatt Place); revenue derives mainly from hotel operations encompassing room sales, food and beverage, and other property income targeting business, leisure, and group travelers. In recent developments, the company substantially completed transformative renovations at properties in Waikiki, Key West, and Fort Lauderdale during 2025, advanced conversions including Renaissance Pittsburgh to Marriott's Autograph Collection and Wyndham Boston to Hilton's Tapestry Collection, acquired Hotel Teatro in June 2024, repurchased 3.3 million shares for $28.6 million, approved a $250 million share repurchase program, and maintained a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per common share.
