Business
Rapac Energy Ltd. operates as the energy-sector entrepreneurial arm of Rapac Communication & Infrastructures Ltd., focusing on the origination, development, planning, financing, construction and operation of electricity-generation and renewable-energy projects in Israel. The company develops and operates ultra-high-voltage and high-voltage ground-mounted photovoltaic solar systems; battery energy-storage facilities; low- and high-voltage dual-use solar installations on reservoirs, commercial buildings and other existing infrastructure; municipal energy initiatives, including projects awarded through local-authority tenders; and natural-gas-fired power-generation projects. Its activities encompass project initiation, business development, engineering, construction and operational management, serving agricultural communities, municipalities, state-owned and defense-related entities, commercial customers and electricity-sector participants. Rapac Energy’s renewable-energy portfolio includes solar projects integrated with storage, large-scale ultra-high-voltage projects, reservoir-based solar systems and municipal distributed-generation facilities, while its conventional-energy activities include the development of natural-gas power projects. The company is based in Kfar Netter, Israel, and is affiliated with Rapac Communication & Infrastructure, an Israeli public company founded in 1964. Recent strategic developments include Rapac Renewable Energies’ acquisition of 100% of Synergy in 2025, expanding its ultra-high-voltage solar, storage and dual-use project-development capabilities and pipeline; Synergy’s portfolio includes projects involving industrial and government counterparties, including a 230 MW solar project with 800 MWh of storage, an 80 MW solar-and-storage project, and additional high-voltage, dual-use and ultra-high-voltage development opportunities. Rapac Communication & Infrastructure completed the sale of its holdings and rights in Rapac Energy to a Generation Group-controlled company in 2024, excluding interests associated with MRC, MRC Operation Ltd. and Reindeer Energy Ltd.; separately, the broader group continues to hold interests in conventional generation assets, including the Alon Tavor power plant and related peaker development, as well as a 24.99% interest in Reindeer Energy, a developer of a natural-gas-fired power plant in the Drom HaSharon Regional Council.
