Business
VIRSI-A AS is a Latvia-based energy commodities trader, convenience retailer, and fuel distribution company that operates a comprehensive network of service stations across the Baltic region. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Aizkraukle, Latvia, the company operates across two principal business segments: Fuel and Energy Distribution, and Convenience Store Retailing. The company's product and service portfolio encompasses traditional automotive fuels, comprising 95 and 98 octane unleaded gasoline, standard and Arctic-grade diesel, and proprietary Virši EVO-branded performance fuels; alternative energy and clean transport solutions, including compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), biomethane, AdBlue exhaust fluid, and a growing network of ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations; convenience store merchandise and food services, featuring specialty coffee, made-to-order hot meals, bakery goods, packaged snacks, cold beverages, everyday groceries, lottery services, and automotive chemicals; utility and energy trading operations, providing retail electricity supply, natural gas procurement, and turnkey solar photovoltaic (PV) generation systems for residential and corporate consumers; and commercial B2B services, including corporate fuel payment cards, bulk wholesale fuel deliveries, fleet management telematics, and automated terminal dispensing. In recent operational and strategic developments, VIRSI-A AS initiated geographical expansion beyond Latvia by launching its service station network in Lithuania, advanced its green energy transition through the development of commercial solar parks, integrated local biomethane production and dispensing facilities into its transport network, accelerated the roll-out of high-capacity EV charging infrastructure co-financed by European Union transport facility programs, and expanded its retail presence via targeted service station acquisitions and full-concept store modernizations across the Baltic market.
