Planet Labs PBC (NYSE: PL), founded in 2010 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, designs, builds, and operates the world's largest constellation of approximately 200 Earth-imaging satellites, delivering daily global satellite imagery and geospatial data to customers worldwide. The company provides high-cadence planet monitoring, tasking, archive access, applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), basemaps, data fusion, analytic feeds, and planetary variables through its online platform; it also offers the Tanager hyperspectral satellite for full-spectrum imagery in visible and shortwave infrared regions, as well as an Earth Observation platform enabling data access, analysis, and insights via custom solutions, GIS workflows, and browser-based applications. Additionally, the company partnered with Quantum Systems in November 2025 to deliver joint satellite and drone monitoring capabilities for European defense customers, while reporting an 11% revenue increase in its fiscal third quarter of 2025 driven by AI advancements and government contracts.
