Founded in 1975, incorporated in 2004, and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates across two principal business segments: New Building and Repair, and Shipping. The group delivers a comprehensive portfolio of marine products and technical services, which includes: turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for offshore structures and specialized marine vessels; new shipbuilding and assembly of tugboats, barges, oil tankers, bunker tankers, cargo vessels, and offshore support vessels; vessel repair, conversion, and marine retrofitting services, including hull repairs, structural steel renewal, and deck machinery overhaul; marine piping fabrication, installation, testing, and pre-commissioning for marine and offshore platforms; specialized shipyard support services such as grit blasting, painting, scaffolding, electrical installation, and staging; design and fabrication of offshore drilling structures, geotechnical drilling rigs, and modular living quarters; provision of skilled technical marine labour and project workforce to major shipyards; and commercial ship chartering, marine supplies distribution, and vessel operation management. The company maintains operational facilities across Singapore, including specialized workshop and waterfront capabilities at Loyang, as well as a 70,000-square-meter shipyard in Rayong, Thailand, through its 50%-owned subsidiary ES Offshore and Marine Engineering (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and project operations in the People's Republic of China through Dalian ES Marine Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. Its primary operating subsidiaries also include Eng Soon Engineering (1999) Pte. Ltd., Eng Soon Marine Pte. Ltd., ES Shipping Pte. Ltd., ES Offshore Engineering Pte. Ltd., and Wang Fatt Oil & Gas Construction Pte. Ltd. In recent developments, ES Group (Holdings) Limited has focused on streamlining its maritime assets and optimizing capital allocation through a shareholder-approved vessel disposal mandate, successfully completing the divestments of vessels including ES Aspire and ES Jewel to optimize operational efficiencies, strengthen liquidity, and pivot resources toward high-value turnkey offshore engineering projects and specialized repair activities.
