Schindler Holding AG manufactures, installs, services and modernizes elevators, escalators and moving walks for buildings worldwide; offers freight elevators for heavy loads up to 45 tons, Schindler PORT Technology for transit management and personalized access control via mobile devices, CleanMobility solutions for sanitary public spaces, and digital services including cloud-connected monitoring for predictive maintenance and operational efficiency; provides maintenance and repair for all brands to extend equipment life, and modernization upgrades for energy efficiency, safety compliance, accessibility, aesthetics and sustainability to reduce carbon footprints and operational costs. The company operates through New Installations, Modernization and Maintenance segments, serving residential, commercial, infrastructure, airports, subway stations, shopping centers, hotels and office buildings; targets urban mobility markets with smart, inclusive and sustainable solutions across the full equipment lifecycle from planning to upgrades. Founded in 1874 and headquartered in Ebikon, Switzerland, Schindler employs over 69,000 people in more than 100 countries with production in eight countries, over 1,000 branch offices and six R&D facilities; maintains key hubs in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe including Shanghai, Morristown and Berlin. Recent developments include a September 2025 Master Services and Supplies Agreement with Accor across nine Asian markets for elevators, escalators and moving walks in hospitality properties; award of the Bogotá Metro contract in Colombia for modern transit by 2028; operational efficiencies driving first-half 2025 margin expansion with net profit of CHF 531 million and nine-month revenue growth to CHF 8.2 billion; commitment to net-zero emissions by 2040; and a November 2025 change in the Group Executive Committee with Hugo Martinho stepping down.
