Business
Sansei Technologies, Inc. plans, designs, manufactures, installs, repairs and maintains amusement rides, stage equipment, elevators and specifically designed equipment. The company operates through four main segments including amusement machines featuring roller coasters, rapid streams, towers, dark rides, carousel-type rides and omnimover attractions supplied to major theme parks such as Disney, Universal, Legoland and Six Flags; stage equipment encompassing rigging systems, lifting stages, turntables, acoustic systems, control systems and LED screens for theaters, culture halls, event venues, concerts and TV studios; elevators including elevators, escalators and parking devices primarily for public sector installations; and others covering real estate and leisure operations. Sansei Technologies maintains the largest market share in Japan for stage equipment and ranks as the world's top roller coaster seller by annual consolidated sales, with production bases in Japan, the US, Europe and Asia supporting a global one-stop service from concept design to refurbishment. Founded in 1951 and headquartered in Osaka, Japan, the company lists on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market under ticker 6357 and employs 1,382 people on a consolidated basis as of March 31, 2025, with recent consolidated net sales of JPY61.9 billion. Sansei Technologies conducts business worldwide through subsidiaries such as Sansei Maintenance Co., Ltd. (East and West Japan), Sansei Facilities Co., Ltd., Sun Ace Co., Ltd., TELMIC Corp., S&S Worldwide Inc. (USA), Vekoma Rides (Netherlands), and FORREC (Canada), which provides theme park concept design and master planning. In recent strategic developments, Sansei Technologies acquired FORREC in December 2023, enhancing its capabilities in theme park concept development and design consulting to deliver integrated solutions from planning to maintenance. The company reports strong financial growth for fiscal year ended March 2025, with net sales up 18.3% to JPY61,861 million and order intake rising 30.3% to JPY78,841 million, driven by smooth progress in amusement ride projects domestically and overseas alongside stable demand for repair parts.
