Business
SEACOR Marine Holdings Inc. (SMHI) provides marine transportation, logistics, and related services primarily to offshore energy and other industries worldwide. The company owns and operates a diverse fleet including platform supply vessels, wind farm support vessels, crew/transport vessels, anchor handling tug supply vessels, barge and ocean tugs, multipurpose support vessels, and specialty vessels; it offers services such as offshore wind support, oil and gas support, inland barge transportation, and harbor towing. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, SEACOR Marine was spun off from SEACOR Holdings Inc. in 2014 and focuses on segments including offshore support services in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, and Southeast Asia; offshore wind farm services in Europe and Asia; and inland river transportation in the U.S. Target customers encompass offshore oil and gas operators, wind farm developers, government entities, and industrial clients. In recent developments, the company expanded its wind support capabilities with the delivery of two next-generation commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) in Europe during 2024; entered a strategic alliance with DOF Group for joint operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico announced in late 2023; and completed a debt refinancing and capital raise in early 2024 to strengthen its balance sheet amid offshore energy market recovery. No major acquisitions or name changes reported in the last two years.
