Business
Pernod Ricard S.A. (RI.PA) produces and sells a wide portfolio of premium wines and spirits worldwide. The company offers distilled spirits including vodka (Absolut), whiskey (Jameson, The Glenlivet), cognac (Hennessy), rum (Havana Club, Malibu), gin (Beefeater, Plymouth), tequila (Olmeca Altos), liqueurs (Kahlúa, Ramazzotti), and aperitifs (Aperol, Ricard); as well as wines such as Jacob's Creek, Campo Viejo, and Mumm Champagne. It operates through segments including Europe, Americas, Asia/Rest of World, and a Global Brands & Business Development division, serving on-trade, off-trade, and travel retail customers in over 160 countries. Founded in 1975 through the merger of Ricard and Pernod, with headquarters in Paris, France, Pernod Ricard maintains a decentralized structure with key production facilities in France, Ireland, Scotland, the United States, and Mexico. The company manages a network of over 90 Premium brands and luxury brands, supported by subsidiaries like Irish Distillers, Chivas Brothers, and Pernod Ricard USA. In recent developments, Pernod Ricard launched its 2030 Sustainability Roadmap, Sustainability Forward 2030, emphasizing regenerative agriculture, climate action, and circular packaging across its supply chain. The company completed the acquisition of a 10% stake in Edrington Group in 2024 to strengthen its Scotch whisky portfolio, including The Macallan; expanded its ready-to-drink portfolio with new Jameson and Absolut variants in 2025; and formed strategic distribution partnerships in India and China to accelerate premiumization growth. Additionally, Pernod Ricard announced leadership transitions, with new CEO appointments in key markets, and invested in premium tequila production through Olmeca Altos expansions amid rising agave demand.
