Business
Superior Plus Corp. (TSX: SPB; OTC: SUUIF), founded in 1996 and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a leading North American distributor of propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG), hydrogen, and related products and services to approximately 750,000 customer locations across the United States and Canada, serving residential, commercial, utility, agricultural, and industrial customers not connected to pipelines. The company operates through four primary divisions: U.S. Propane Distribution, which supplies propane and liquid fuels such as heating oil primarily in the Northeast, Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, and California regions, along with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair services; Canadian Propane Distribution under the Superior Propane trade name, offering propane retail sales, equipment rentals, installations, repairs, and maintenance programs across Canada since 1951; Wholesale Propane Distribution via Superior Gas Liquids, providing transportation, storage, risk management, supply, and logistics services to propane retailers in the U.S. and Canada; and Certarus, delivering on-road low-carbon energy solutions including CNG, RNG, and hydrogen to energy, utility, industrial, and agricultural sectors. Superior Plus focuses on the energy transition by displacing carbon-intensive fuels to help customers reduce operating costs and improve environmental performance, with operations spanning North America. In 2025, the company advances its Superior Delivers propane transformation initiative, deploying scheduling optimization and delivery efficiency tools across all markets, reducing its non-field workforce by 12% to generate $5 million in annual savings starting Q2 2026, and targeting at least $75 million in incremental Adjusted EBITDA by 2027; Certarus secures a supply agreement with a large-scale data center operator and site/gas supply agreements for a new Florida hub operational by year-end targeting utilities, pipelines, and industrials; Superior repurchases 15.4 million common shares year-to-date (6.5% of public float) at an average C$7.10 per share for C$107.3 million and over 26 million shares in the past year (10.8% of outstanding shares), while allocating C$135 million annually to repurchases under its normal course issuer bid renewed with TSX; appoints Deena LaMarque Piquion as Chief Commercial Officer, North American Propane; revises 2025 Adjusted EBITDA growth outlook to 2% from 8% due to CNG pricing pressures and propane one-time delivery technology costs plus supply disruptions; and declares a quarterly common share dividend of C$0.045 payable January 15, 2026.
