Recent developments include the full ramp-up of the world's largest kraftliner paper machine (PM 2) at Obbola boosting containerboard capacity by 70% to 725,000 tonnes annually with 15-20% production growth targeted for 2025, commissioning of a new CTMP mill at Ortviken tripling output to 300,000 tonnes per year by 2023, efficiency upgrades at Bollsta sawmill completed in 2023, startup of the Gothenburg biorefinery in late 2023 for aviation biofuels from pulp by-products, shift to active wind power ownership including acquisition of Fasikan Vind AB project financed by a SEK 1 billion Nordic Investment Bank loan for 15 turbines producing 333 GWh annually by 2026, full ownership of Gällö Timber AB acquired in early 2024, and a new SEK 6 billion credit facility signed as a liquidity reserve alongside updates to its MTN program and Green Bond Framework.
