In December 2024, Olympia Trust Company announced and closed in January 2025 the acquisition of approximately 3,400 self-directed registered and non-registered investment accounts from Canadian Western Trust Company for $1.7 million in cash; in March 2024, Olympia Trust Company announced its intention to apply for continuance as a federal trust company.
