Business
Grafta Nanotech Corp. is a Canadian clean technology and advanced materials company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes proprietary graphene-based nanotechnologies for environmental remediation and industrial wastewater treatment. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the company provides engineered micro-scale adsorbent solutions designed to capture, immobilize, and eliminate hazardous contaminants from industrial process water, mining tailings, and groundwater. Grafta Nanotech serves customers across North America, targeting industries including mining, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, utilities, and environmental engineering services. The company's core product and service portfolio comprises: GRAFTA™, a proprietary micro-scale adsorbent combining graphene and graphene oxide nanosheets for the simultaneous removal of heavy metals, including mercury, lead, cadmium, chromium, arsenic, uranium, copper, and nickel, as well as organic compounds, including petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); GRAFTA™ 2.0, an advanced chemically reduced adsorbent formulation engineered to target inorganic oxyanions such as nitrates, phosphates, and sulfates, with specialized capability in the chemical reduction and sequestration of selenate from mining tailings; In-Situ Remediation Systems, delivering micro-particle slurries for direct subsurface injection and permeable reactive barrier (PRB) applications for long-term groundwater containment; Industrial Water Treatment Media, providing modular, passive integration into existing municipal and industrial filtration units, tailings pond circuits, and low-impact development (LID) stormwater infrastructure; and Treatability and Technical Advisory Services, offering site-specific water characterization, bench-scale testing, pilot demonstration design, and customized environmental remediation consulting. In recent corporate developments, the company completed its Qualifying Transaction under TSX Venture Exchange policies in August 2026, effecting a three-cornered amalgamation of Grafta Nanotech Inc. with a wholly owned subsidiary of Wittering Capital Corp., resulting in a share consolidation, a corporate name change from Wittering Capital Corp. to Grafta Nanotech Corp., and the commencement of public trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker symbol GFTA. In connection with the transaction, the company completed private placement financing to fund the commercial scale-up of its graphene manufacturing operations and expand field validation trials. In August 2026, Grafta Nanotech entered into strategic advisory agreements with Ace Capital Partners for capital markets advisory and engaged Atrium Research Corporation for sponsored research coverage to broaden institutional visibility. Supported by early institutional investment from PillarFour Capital Partners, the company is actively deploying pilot programs and advancing commercial adoption of its remediation technology with industrial and resource clients across Canada and the United States.
