TotalEnergies SE (TTE) is an integrated multi-energy company that produces and markets a range of energy products and services worldwide. The company engages in oil and gas exploration and production; natural gas liquefaction, transportation, and regasification; refining and petrochemical production; and trading and shipping of oil and petroleum products. Its core offerings include low-carbon electricity generation from solar, wind, biogas, and hydropower sources; biofuels; renewable hydrogen; electric vehicle charging networks; and energy efficiency services such as demand response and energy storage solutions; all marketed under brands like TotalEnergies and SunPower. Founded in 1924 and headquartered in Courbevoie, France, TotalEnergies operates in more than 130 countries, serving industrial customers, businesses, and individual consumers across Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. Subsidiaries include TotalEnergies Marketing Services for retail fuel and convenience, Saft for battery manufacturing, and Lampiris for gas and electricity supply in Belgium. In recent developments, TotalEnergies formed a strategic partnership with Air Products in 2024 to develop clean hydrogen projects; acquired nearly 50% stake in Sylvest in 2024 to expand in sustainable forestry and carbon credits; launched the 1.5 GW Argentinian solar portfolio in 2024; and completed the acquisition of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Americas in 2024 to bolster North American LNG and renewables; alongside investing $300 million in U.S. LNG producer Venture Global in 2024.
