Business
UGI Corporation, a diversified energy distributor headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and founded in 1882, primarily engages in the distribution, storage, transportation and marketing of natural gas, propane, liquefied petroleum gas, electricity, liquefied natural gas, midstream services including interstate and intrastate transmission and storage assets in the Marcellus Shale, and renewable natural gas primarily through subsidiaries such as AmeriGas, the largest U.S. propane marketer; UGI Utilities; UGI International, which operates under brands including Antargaz, Flaga, AvantiGas and UniverGas Italia across 14 European countries such as France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Romania and Slovakia serving residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, wholesale and autogas customers; and UGI Energy Services offering natural gas, electricity, propane, liquid fuel oil and renewable energy solutions. The company operates extensively in the United States and Europe, targeting off-grid energy solutions, space heating, cooking, water heating, motor fuel, crop drying, irrigation, construction, power generation, manufacturing and aerosol propellants. Recent developments include successful portfolio optimization with approximately $150 million realized from liquefied petroleum gas divestitures excluding the pending sale of its Austrian business by year-end 2025; operational enhancements at AmeriGas such as a 30% reduction in recordable incidents, optimized supply points and storage, improved hedging, and a new routing and delivery process yielding 10% fuel cost savings; continued capital deployment of roughly $900 million in fiscal 2025 primarily for natural gas infrastructure upgrades including 130 miles of pipeline replacement at utilities; strong fiscal 2025 adjusted earnings results ahead of expectations; and advancement of multiple renewable natural gas projects through subsidiary Cayuga RNG, alongside ongoing strategic portfolio review activity evidenced by over 50 non-disclosure agreements with interested parties.
