Unilever PLC (UL) is a British-Dutch multinational consumer goods company that manufactures and markets a broad portfolio of branded products in the Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, and Nutrition segments; its core offerings include personal care items such as Dove soaps and body washes, Rexona and Axe deodorants, Lifebuoy sanitizers, Vaseline moisturizers, Sunsilk shampoos, and men's grooming products like Dr. Squatch natural soaps, body washes, deodorants, and hair care; beauty and wellbeing products encompassing Liquid I.V. hydration multipliers; home care solutions including OMO laundry detergents, Domestos cleaners, Cif surface sprays, and Comfort fabric conditioners; and nutrition brands such as Hellmann's mayonnaise, Knorr culinary aids, and Horlicks beverages. Founded in 1929 through the merger of Margarine Unie and Lever Brothers and headquartered in London with a secondary listing in Rotterdam, the company operates in over 190 countries, serving 3.4 billion consumers daily with 30 power brands generating more than 75% of turnover, supported by €9.4 billion in annual brand and marketing investment, €987 million in R&D, and global hubs in emerging markets that account for 58% of its €60.8 billion 2024 turnover. In recent strategic shifts, Unilever announced in June 2025 the acquisition of U.S.-based men's personal care brand Dr. Squatch to expand in premium grooming; completed a €1.5 billion bond issuance in June 2025 to fund long-term growth and portfolio realignments; sold the Graze healthier snacking business to Katjes International in November 2025 as part of sharpening its Foods focus on condiments, cooking aids, mini meals, and Food Solutions; acquired premium beauty brands K18 and Minimalist; announced divestments of local foods like Unox and Conimex; invested over 100 million zlotys in a Polish food factory expansion; and progresses toward the demerger of its Ice Cream business (including Magnum) expected in December 2025.
