- DAP-VINACHEM Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based chemical and fertilizer manufacturing enterprise primarily engaged in the production, commercialization, and distribution of diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizers and industrial chemical products. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Hai Phong, Vietnam, the company operates as a major subsidiary of the state-owned Vietnam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM). The company conducts its core manufacturing operations from its industrial complex in the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone in Hai Phong, supplying agricultural distributors and industrial consumers across Vietnam, as well as export markets throughout Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South Asia, including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and India.
The company structures its operations across three primary business segments: Fertilizers, Industrial Chemicals, and Logistics & Ancillary Services. Its product and service portfolio comprises: diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizers marketed under the DAP Dinh Vu brand, including standard yellow, green, and black granule formulations such as DAP 16-48-0 and DAP 18-46-0 for agricultural crop nutrition; industrial chemical products, including commercial-grade sulfuric acid (H2SO4), wet-process phosphoric acid (H3PO4), aluminum fluoride, and sodium fluosilicate; processed phosphogypsum (PG) by-products utilized as setting retarders in cement production and raw materials for construction gypsum; wholesale supply and trading of industrial inputs, including apatite ore, molten sulfur, and anhydrous ammonia; and ancillary services, including specialized port cargo handling, liquid chemical storage, warehousing, logistics, and agricultural technical consulting.
In recent corporate and operational developments, DAP-VINACHEM Joint Stock Company has implemented several strategic initiatives to enhance its market position, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance. The company has advanced preparations to transfer its equity listing from the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) to the main board of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) to broaden its institutional shareholder base and enhance share liquidity. Operationally, the company has expanded its phosphogypsum waste-processing capabilities and established supply agreements with domestic cement manufacturers to convert industrial chemical residues into commercial gypsum additives, supporting circular economy practices. Additionally, the company has diversified its product lineup by introducing upgraded specialty DAP formulations enriched with micronutrients for export markets, while optimizing its captive waste-heat recovery power generation system at its sulfuric acid facility to increase energy self-sufficiency and lower production costs.
