Business
Royal International Corporation is a Vietnam-based hospitality, gaming, and entertainment enterprise primarily engaged in the ownership, development, and operation of integrated resort facilities, luxury accommodations, and tourism services. Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, the company operates across two principal business divisions: Hotel and Villa Operations, and Entertainment and Gaming. The company's systematic portfolio of products and services comprises five-star luxury hotel accommodations and guest hospitality services under the Royal Halong Hotel brand; private villa rentals and extended-stay luxury suites; licensed casino and international gaming club operations exclusively authorized for foreign passport holders, featuring live table games, electronic gaming machines, VIP gaming lounges, and slot halls; comprehensive food and beverage services across multiple on-site dining establishments, themed restaurants, lounges, and bars; event hosting and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) services facilitated through the Royal International Convention Palace; commercial real estate and retail leasing within its coastal shopping centers; leisure and entertainment park operations; as well as wellness amenities, including full-service spas, fitness facilities, and marine recreation along the Bai Chay waterfront of Ha Long Bay. In recent corporate developments, the company underwent a significant ownership transition when long-time majority shareholder Kai Chieh International Investment Ltd. transferred its entire stake of over 52 percent to KaiViet Investment Co., Ltd. Following extended financial challenges and consecutive years of net losses driven by regional tourism downturns, the company's shares were delisted from the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) and subsequently admitted to trading on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) under the ticker symbol RIC. In response to these headwinds, Royal International Corporation has focused on strategic operational restructuring, strict overhead and cost management, the refurbishment of core hospitality infrastructure, and targeted marketing campaigns to revitalize international tourist arrivals and restore operational profitability across its hotel and gaming divisions.
