Vicor Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets modular power components and complete power systems based on patented technologies including high-density DC-DC converters, AC-DC front-end modules, bus converters such as BCM6135 bidirectional units, current multipliers, ZVS buck and buck-boost regulators, and Factorized Power Architecture (FPA) solutions; it serves high-performance segments in enterprise computing and AI processors, industrial equipment and automation, robotics, vehicles including mild hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) with 48V zonal architectures, transportation, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, and instrumentation. Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, the company operates manufacturing facilities in Andover and maintains additional locations across the United States, China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan; it sells worldwide through direct sales, independent representatives and authorized distributors to original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and distributors. Recent developments include a $45 million patent litigation settlement in Q2 2025 boosting revenues, expansion of its IP licensing practice targeting nearly $300 million in revenues through 2026 from high-density power technologies amid International Trade Commission exclusion orders, release of new DCM family modules (DCM3717 and DCM3735) supporting 48V networks up to 2kW, automotive-grade 48V power modules like BCM6135, DCM3735 and PRM3735, a Best Technology Application 2025 Award for BCM6135 from Gasgoo, partnerships with hyperscalers and semiconductor firms for AI power delivery, distribution expansions such as with Spirit Electronics for aerospace and Avnet globally, and strategic focus on Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) systems for AI with deliveries planned by late 2025.
