Voestalpine is organized into several key divisions: Steel, which produces advanced steel products; High Performance Metals, offering surface treatments and additive manufacturing; Metal Engineering, focusing on railway infrastructure and industrial systems; Metal Forming, providing precision sections and tubes; and Railway Systems, delivering integrated rail infrastructure solutions. The company serves industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, mechanical engineering, consumer goods, and oil & gas. Recent major changes include the acquisition of a majority stake in the Italian premium welding wire manufacturer Italfil S.p.A. in mid-2024, expanding its welding technology portfolio particularly in low and unalloyed solid wires for automated welding applications. Additionally, Voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC in the USA acquired production facilities from Wabtec Components LLC in Knoxville, Tennessee, enhancing its presence in the North American railway infrastructure market. The company also initiated the sale of its German special steel subsidiary Buderus Edelstahl in 2024, expected to finalize by the end of the year. Voestalpine continues to advance its sustainability initiatives with its greentec steel program targeting decarbonization of steel production. The Group reported revenues of approximately EUR 15.7 billion and an EBITDA of EUR 1.35 billion for the business year 2024/25 and employs around 49,700 employees worldwide. Voestalpine AG maintains a leadership position in steel technology and system solutions, with a strategic focus on innovation, international growth, and sustainability.
