In a major development, Merck & Co., Inc. (known as MSD outside the US and Canada) completed its acquisition of Verona Pharma on October 7, 2025, for approximately $10 billion at $107 per American Depositary Share, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary to bolster Merck's cardio-pulmonary portfolio while continuing Ohtuvayre commercialization and clinical programs in the US and pursuing regulatory approvals in the European Union and UK.
