The company structures its extensive operations through three primary divisions: Electrical & Electronic Solutions (EES), Communications & Security Solutions (CSS), and Utility and Broadband Solutions (UBS). The EES segment provides a broad array of products and supply chain services, encompassing electrical equipment and components, industrial automation technologies, internet of things (IoT) devices, security systems, various lighting solutions, wire and cable, and safety products, along with maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) items. This division also offers specialized contractor support, optimizes manufacturing supply chains, and provides advisory services for lighting and renewable energy initiatives, complemented by digital and automation tools. The CSS segment focuses on network infrastructure and security sectors, distributing a wide range of offerings directly to end-users or through channels like data communications contractors, security integrators, and network and audiovisual systems providers. This includes advanced data communication and networking systems, alongside solutions for safety and energy management. Recent advancements include digital solutions like entroCIM for monitoring building operations and new AI-powered procurement tools for construction, especially in data centers. The UBS segment caters to investor-owned and public power utilities, as well as service providers for wireless, broadband, and related contractors. Its product range includes power wire and cable, transformers, transmission and distribution hardware, switches, protective devices, connectors, conduits, pole line hardware, racks, cabinets, along with safety and MRO supplies, and point-to-point wireless devices. Service offerings in this segment extend to fiber project management, design and support for high and medium voltage projects, pre-wired metering and capacitor bank services, meter testing and infrastructure installation, dielectric testing for personal protective equipment, and tool repair, in addition to emergency response, materials, and logistics management. Established in 1922, the company maintains its corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, serving over 150,000 customers worldwide with a portfolio of approximately 1.5 million products. With annual sales reaching around $22 billion in 2024, WESCO continues to expand its digital capabilities and global presence across approximately 50 countries.
