The company operates through three main segments—Gold Operations, Copper Operations, and Others—producing principal products including standard Au9999 and Au9995 gold bullions under the Zhaojin brand; copper concentrates and cathode copper; as well as sulphur ore processing, ceramic materials, wear-resistant steel balls, and ancillary services such as engineering design, freight transportation, construction, material trading, technical advisory, financial services, and accommodation. Zhaoyuan, known as the "Gold Capital of the PRC" by the China Gold Association, underpins its operations in a resource-rich area accounting for about 10% of China's remaining gold resources, with the company holding 49.50 million ounces of gold mineral resources and 16.64 million ounces of recoverable gold reserves as of late 2024 under JORC standards.
