Business
Hrvatski Telekom d.d. is a Croatia-based telecommunications and digital services provider engaged in offering fixed-line telephony, mobile telecommunications, high-speed broadband internet, digital television, and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) solutions. Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, the company operates as a key regional subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, which holds a controlling 53.5% equity interest. Hrvatski Telekom operates primarily within the Croatian market and extends its geographic presence to Montenegro through its majority-owned subsidiary, Crnogorski Telekom a.d. The company serves a diverse client base comprising residential consumers, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, and public administration institutions. The company provides an extensive portfolio of telecommunications and digital infrastructure services categorized across systematic product lines: mobile telecommunications services, comprising postpaid and prepaid voice subscriptions, mobile data transfer, international roaming, and mobile device sales under the Hrvatski Telekom and bonbon brands; fixed-line broadband and connectivity services, covering residential and business voice telephony, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and copper-based high-speed broadband access, and digital pay-television and interactive streaming solutions marketed under the MAXtv and Iskon brands; enterprise ICT and systems integration services delivered directly and through its wholly owned subsidiary Combis d.o.o., which include cloud computing, software-as-a-service (SaaS), data center colocation and hosting, cybersecurity solutions, enterprise networking, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and smart city systems; and wholesale telecommunications services, spanning domestic and international voice transit, leased lines, dark fiber access, Metro-Ethernet, IP/MPLS data transmission, and network interconnection facilities for carrier clients. In recent strategic developments, Hrvatski Telekom has undertaken major organizational restructurings, infrastructure acquisitions, and digital transformation initiatives. The company completed the formal legal merger of its subsidiary Iskon Internet d.d. into the parent entity to optimize internal operational efficiencies while continuing commercial operations under the Iskon brand. To accelerate its gigabit optical coverage across underserved and regional territories, Hrvatski Telekom completed the acquisition of Croatian regional broadband provider PRO-PING d.o.o. In addition, the company initiated the carve-out of its passive mobile tower infrastructure into a dedicated, wholly owned subsidiary to optimize network asset management. Hrvatski Telekom has also accelerated an AI-first operational strategy through an expanded partnership with digital platform provider Beyond Now, deploying agentic artificial intelligence solutions to streamline enterprise sales workflows, optimize business support systems (BSS), and enhance digital customer experiences, while maintaining large-scale capital investments in 5G mobile spectrum deployment and nationwide gigabit fiber network expansion.
