- Alzchem Group AG is a globally active specialty chemicals company that develops, produces and markets products based on the calcium carbide and calcium cyanamide value chain, with operations organized across Specialty Chemicals, Basics & Intermediates, and Other & Holding segments. Founded in 1908 and headquartered in Trostberg, Germany, the company serves customers in nutrition, agriculture, fine chemicals, renewable energy, metallurgy and industrial applications. Its core portfolio includes dietary supplements and ingredients such as Creapure and Creavitalis; specialty feed and food ingredients; epoxy curing agents under the DYHARD brand; silicon nitride under the SILZOT brand for advanced ceramics and solar wafers; technical gases; fertilizer and agrochemical products, including germicides, plant growth regulators and plant protection additives; as well as other chemical intermediates and carbide-based products. Alzchem operates primarily in Europe and also serves international markets through its sales and production network, with the group’s parent company and key operating subsidiaries located in Trostberg, Germany. In recent periods, the company has accelerated its strategic shift toward higher-value specialty chemicals and ingredients, including record sales and EBITDA in fiscal 2025, a planned increase in the dividend, and continued expansion of its creatine business. Alzchem and Ehrmann launched a cooperation in 2025 to expand high-protein products using Creavitalis, while the company also advanced capacity expansions for guanidine nitrate and nitroguanidine in Germany and continued site selection for a new nitroguanidine plant in the United States. In addition, Alzchem approved a new investment program of around EUR 120 million for a largely automated creatine production plant and related infrastructure, with gradual commissioning planned from the second half of 2027, underscoring its focus on profitable growth and capacity expansion.
