Founded in 2004 through the merger of Air France (established 1947) and KLM (established 1919), the company is headquartered at 45 rue de Paris in Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, near Paris, France, with wholly owned subsidiaries including Air France Hop, KLM Cityhopper, Martinair Cargo, and Transavia entities; it also holds minority stakes in carriers such as Scandinavian Airlines (19.9%), Kenya Airways, and others while participating in the SkyTeam alliance.
