Business
Silver Mountain Resources Inc. is a Canada-based silver exploration and mine development company focused on precious and base metals projects in Peru. The company holds 100% interest in the Castrovirreyna Project in the Huancavelica region, comprising over 60,000 hectares of mining concessions including the Reliquias underground mine with accessible ramps, galleries, ventilation, water pumping, and explosives storage; a 2,000 tons per day concentrator plant; an operating tailings storage facility with capacity for at least two years at maximum throughput; and supporting infrastructure such as power lines, water systems, fuel storage, a 370-person camp, warehouses, maintenance shops, and paved road access. It targets silver-rich polymetallic veins and gold-rich breccias through exploration, development, and planned production restart at Reliquias and associated Caudalosa operations via its Peruvian subsidiary Sociedad Minera Reliquias S.A.C. Founded in 2021 and headquartered at 82 Richmond Street East in Toronto, Ontario, Silver Mountain operates primarily in central Peru's historic Huancavelica mining district, 240 kilometers southeast of Lima at elevations over 4,700 meters above sea level, serving institutional investors and stakeholders in the global silver market amid rising demand from renewable energy and electric vehicles. In recent developments, the company completed a 1-for-15 share consolidation on March 28, 2025, and raised gross proceeds of C$15 million through a bought deal unit offering in July 2025, later upsized to C$21.7 million, to advance Reliquias mine development, upgrade the Caudalosa plant, and support working capital. It is finalizing a US$10 million prepayment facility with Trafigura PTE Ltd. announced in July 2025 to accelerate the Reliquias project toward production, building on high-grade silver drilling results and resource expansion efforts at veins like Sacasipuedes and the newly identified Natividad copper vein.
