Altiplano Metals Inc. operates as a junior resource entity, concentrating on the evaluation and acquisition of mineral exploration endeavors across the Americas. The company actively seeks out copper, gold, silver, and iron deposits. It holds full ownership of the Farellon project, an iron oxide copper-gold system near La Serena, Chile, which is currently undergoing underground development. Additionally, Altiplano possesses the Maria Luisa gold-copper project, situated in the Atacama Region of Chile near Incahuasi, where underground exploration and development are progressing. The firm also maintains an option to acquire complete interest in the Pastillas gold exploration project, located within Chile's prominent Maricunga Gold Belt. Further expanding its portfolio, Altiplano holds a 100% interest in the San Pedro Gold project in central Nicaragua. The company has evolved beyond pure exploration, now also operating the El Peñón processing facility, positioned near La Serena, Chile, which is designed for environmentally sustainable production of copper-gold and iron concentrates. This facility supports output from projects such as Farellon and the Santa Beatriz copper-gold mine, located nearby. Altiplano generates revenue from the sale of processed materials, having produced over 6.95 million pounds of copper between January 2018 and September 2024, with cash flow reinvested into ongoing development and new acquisitions. Previously known as Altiplano Minerals Ltd., the company was established in 2010 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Edmonton, Canada.
