The company's core activities center on delineating high-grade gold discoveries and copper-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) zones through extensive drilling programs, geophysical surveys, soil sampling and geomechanical studies; advancing feasibility studies and preliminary economic assessments for bulk-tonnage and high-grade mineralization styles; and preparing underground bulk sample permit applications and toll-milling operations leveraging regional infrastructure. Recent developments include the March 2025 acquisition of the strategic Perron West Project in Ontario, expanding land holdings and reducing exploration costs via improved infrastructure access; a fully funded 2025 drilling program of 35,000 to 45,000 meters at Perron, followed by initial plans for up to 100,000 meters in 2026 across Perron and Perron West; the August 2025 topping up of a C$37.25 million private placement to support target definition and drilling; commencement of a Phase 1 Feasibility Study at Perron in September 2025, targeting completion by Q1 2026 with a four-to-five-year 1,000 tonnes per day toll-milling scenario; and the November 2025 acquisition of the adjacent Abbotsford and Hepburn projects, more than doubling the land position to control 500 square kilometers along 70 kilometers of the Normetal-Burntbush greenstone belt in the Abitibi region. Eldorado Gold Corporation maintains a 19.65% strategic ownership interest in Amex Exploration.
