- Amex Exploration Inc. is a junior gold mining exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring and developing gold projects in the mining-friendly jurisdiction of Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Montreal, the company holds 100% owned interests in its flagship Perron Gold Project, comprising 117 contiguous claims covering 4,836 hectares in the township of Perron, eight kilometers northwest of Normetal in northwestern Abitibi; the Lebel-sur-Quevillon project, consisting of four properties (Cameron, Madeleine West, Madeleine East and Pusticamica) with 73 claims spanning 4,073 hectares, located 26 kilometers north of Lebel-sur-Quevillon; and the Eastmain River Gold project, including four properties (North, East, West and South) situated in the Eeyou Istchee Territory, James Bay, approximately 350 kilometers north of Chibougamau. The company's core activities center on delineating high-grade gold discoveries and copper-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) zones through extensive drilling programs, geophysical surveys, soil sampling and geomechanical studies; advancing feasibility studies and preliminary economic assessments for bulk-tonnage and high-grade mineralization styles; and preparing underground bulk sample permit applications and toll-milling operations leveraging regional infrastructure. Recent developments include the March 2025 acquisition of the strategic Perron West Project in Ontario, expanding land holdings and reducing exploration costs via improved infrastructure access; a fully funded 2025 drilling program of 35,000 to 45,000 meters at Perron, followed by initial plans for up to 100,000 meters in 2026 across Perron and Perron West; the August 2025 topping up of a C$37.25 million private placement to support target definition and drilling; commencement of a Phase 1 Feasibility Study at Perron in September 2025, targeting completion by Q1 2026 with a four-to-five-year 1,000 tonnes per day toll-milling scenario; and the November 2025 acquisition of the adjacent Abbotsford and Hepburn projects, more than doubling the land position to control 500 square kilometers along 70 kilometers of the Normetal-Burntbush greenstone belt in the Abitibi region. Eldorado Gold Corporation maintains a 19.65% strategic ownership interest in Amex Exploration.
