(NASDAQ: APEI) provides online and campus-based postsecondary education and career learning programs primarily serving military personnel, veterans, public service professionals, nurses, and working adults. The company operates through its wholly owned subsidiaries, including American Public University System (APUS), encompassing American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU), which offer nearly 100 degree programs and courses in fields such as homeland security, military studies, intelligence, criminal justice, technology, business administration, public health, liberal arts, and more; Hondros College of Nursing (HCN), delivering pre-licensure associate degree nursing (ADN), practical nursing (PN) diploma programs, and related health sciences education; and Rasmussen University (RU), providing nursing- and health sciences-focused postsecondary degrees, including on-campus and online options across multiple states. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Charles Town, West Virginia, APEI targets adult learners worldwide with flexible, affordable, career-relevant education delivered via online platforms, campus-based instruction, and workplace training, emphasizing service-minded communities. In recent strategic developments, APEI completed the sale of Graduate School USA in July 2025 to refocus on core healthcare and military education segments; sold two corporate administrative buildings in Charles Town, West Virginia, in June 2025 for net proceeds of $22.5 million; fully redeemed its Series A senior preferred stock in 2025, eliminating $6 million in annual dividends and enhancing financial flexibility; appointed Edward Codispoti as Chief Financial Officer in October 2025 and James Kenisky as Interim Chief Innovation and Technology Officer to drive modernization efforts; and reported strong enrollment growth with Rasmussen up 10% and Hondros up 18% in Q3 2025, alongside raised full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to $81-88 million.
