Apogee Enterprises, Inc. designs, engineers, fabricates and finishes value-added glass and metal products for the nonresidential construction, commercial building, picture framing and display industries; offers architectural glass including coated low-emissivity glass used in customized window and wall systems; provides aluminum framing systems such as window systems, curtainwalls, storefronts and entrance systems that form the outer structure of buildings; delivers architectural services encompassing project management, field installation and technical services for building glass and curtainwall systems; and supplies high-performance glass, acrylic and coated substrate products through its Large-Scale Optical segment for preservation, protection, enhanced viewing, graphic arts and building product applications including brands such as ResinDEK, ChromaLuxe, RDC Coatings and Unisub. The company, founded in 1949 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, primarily serves commercial buildings such as office towers, hotels and retail centers as well as institutional facilities; generates the majority of revenue from the United States with additional operations in Canada and Brazil through segments including Architectural Framing Systems, Architectural Glass, Architectural Services and Large-Scale Optical Technologies. In November 2024, Apogee completed its $242 million cash acquisition of UW Interco LLC (UW Solutions), a vertically integrated manufacturer of high-performance coated substrates, to expand the capabilities and market opportunities of its Large-Scale Optical segment and drive future growth with expected fiscal 2026 revenue contribution of approximately $100 million at a 20% adjusted EBITDA margin; the company also launched Project Fortify 2.0, targeting $24 million to $26 million in pre-tax charges for operational savings and efficiencies, while pursuing geographic expansions in services and framing systems across the U.S. and Canada.
