- Whitemud Resources Inc. engages in the development, mining, processing and marketing of kaolin and metakaolin products in Canada. The Company produces EnviroPozz™ metakaolin, a high-reactivity, dry-process supplementary cementing material manufactured from naturally occurring kaolin clay at its Gollier Creek/Wood Mountain facility in southern Saskatchewan. EnviroPozz™ is marketed as a Class N natural pozzolan meeting CSA A3000 and ASTM C618 criteria and is used as a partial replacement for Portland cement in ready-mix concrete; precast concrete; shotcrete; roller-compacted concrete; oil and gas well cementing; grouts and bonding agents; tiles and ceramics; cement-board siding and manufactured trim; foamed concrete; and soil-cement stabilization. The product is designed to enhance concrete strength, durability, workability, finishing characteristics and resistance to cracking and alkali-silica-reaction pop-outs, while reducing cementitious-material use and associated greenhouse-gas emissions. Whitemud holds mineral rights to a substantial kaolin deposit and operates associated processing infrastructure in southern Saskatchewan, approximately 225 kilometers southwest of Regina and near the U.S. border, serving construction, cementitious-products, energy-development and industrial customers across North America. The Company operates principally through its Metakaolin segment, which encompasses kaolin mining, processing and metakaolin sales, and its Commodities/Midstream Energy Partners segment, which manages commodity-marketing activities. Incorporated in 2005, Whitemud is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Recent developments include the completion and commissioning of a flash-calciner upgrade at the Gollier Creek facility in August 2024, with processing activities commencing in the third quarter of 2024 using stockpiled ore; the upgraded process has demonstrated product quality equivalent or superior to the prior kiln-based process. In February 2025, major shareholder SAM Holdings Ltd. increased Whitemud’s interim line of credit to CAD15 million to support operations and general corporate purposes. In September 2025, Whitemud entered into a multi-year EnviroPozz™ supply agreement with an end user in Western Canada, with initial anticipated volumes of up to 3,000 tonnes annually and potential growth to 10,000 tonnes annually subject to favorable economic conditions. The Company continues to ramp up plant utilization, make customer deliveries and develop concrete-industry demand; it expects mining operations to resume no earlier than the second quarter of 2026, dependent on market demand.
