Business
Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) provides food services, facilities management, and uniform services to clients in education, healthcare, business and industry, sports and leisure, and corrections sectors. The company offers comprehensive food and support services including dining management, catering, vending, micro markets, and workplace refreshments; facilities services encompassing custodial, maintenance, landscaping, and engineering; and uniform and linen services across hospitals, universities, school districts, stadiums, corporations, and government facilities. Aramark operates in 15 countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Chile, Ireland, and Spain, with headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where its origins trace back to 1936 through Davidson Brothers vending services that evolved into ARA Services in 1959 and rebranded to Aramark in 1994. In recent developments, Aramark completed the spin-off of its uniform services business into Vestis (NYSE: VSTS) in October 2023; acquired Heathland Hospitality Group and First Class Vending to bolster refreshments and vending capabilities; secured major contracts such as with Arizona State University and University of Nebraska athletics; and targets 4-5% net new business growth in 2025 alongside small to medium-sized acquisitions focused on group purchasing organization enhancements.
