- EQ Resources Limited is an Australian-based mining company specializing in the exploration, production, and development of tungsten and gold mineral resources. Its core operations focus on the Mt Carbine project in Queensland, which includes tungsten mining and processing, utilizing advanced technology and historical stockpiles to optimize resource efficiency; the company also holds gold exploration licenses in New South Wales. EQ Resources produces tungsten concentrate and is committed to sustainable resource management in the critical minerals sector. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Mount Carbine, Queensland, EQ Resources has expanded its strategic footprint significantly in recent years. In January 2024, the company completed a transformative acquisition of Saloro S.L.U., a Spanish tungsten producer, which increased its production capacity and global market presence, making it the largest independent tungsten concentrate producer outside China. EQ Resources also executed an agreement in mid-2024 to acquire the remaining joint venture interest in the Mt Carbine Retreatment project, gaining full ownership of its flagship asset, and has been engaged in expanding its operations with new mining ventures such as the Andy White Open Pit. More recently, EQ Resources announced a binding heads of agreement to acquire Tungsten Metals Group (TMG), the owner of the largest ferrotungsten plant outside China, expected to close in the first half of 2025. This acquisition diversifies the company's product portfolio and geographical reach by adding ferrotungsten production on three continents. The company is currently preparing for a capital raise announced in late 2025 to further support its growth initiatives and ongoing projects in the critical minerals space. EQ Resources operates primarily in the mining sector targeting new economy and critical minerals essential for technology, energy, and defense industries. Its product suite includes tungsten concentrates and value-added tungsten products like ferrotungsten, alongside ongoing gold exploration. The company emphasizes sustainable mining practices, resource efficiency, and technological investment to maintain competitive advantages and meet global demand for critical minerals. Overall, EQ Resources Limited is a leading Australian mining company focused on tungsten and gold with growing international assets and strategic acquisitions intending to strengthen its position as a global tungsten supplier and critical minerals producer.
