- Investigator Resources Limited (ASX:IVR), now operating as Investigator Silver Limited, engages in mineral exploration primarily focused on silver projects in Australia; it explores for silver, copper, lead, zinc, gold, and tungsten deposits across its key assets including the 100%-owned Paris Silver Project on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula featuring a 57 million ounce silver JORC resource at 73g/t average grade, the Paris Silver Corridor with high-priority targets like Athena, the Uno Morgans project, Curnamona gold-copper tenements, and an interest in the Molyhil Tungsten-Molybdenum Project in the Northern Territory. The company targets district-scale silver potential in the southern Gawler Craton and conducts exploration drilling, geophysical surveys, and metallurgical testwork to expand resources and advance development studies for open-pit mining operations serving precious and base metals markets. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Norwood, South Australia, it operates exclusively in Australia with no reported subsidiaries or parent entities. In the past year, the company underwent a strategic refocus on precious metals with silver as the centerpiece, resetting its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Paris Silver Project to incorporate larger pit designs, optimized flowsheets, wet tailings storage, and accelerated production timelines amid higher silver prices and confirmed water supply; it commenced engagement with South Australian regulators on mining lease applications, launched drilling at Curnamona for gold-copper anomalies, and appointed mining engineer Lachlan Wallace as Managing Director effective July 2025 to succeed retiring Andrew McIlwain, leveraging his experience from commissioning the Kanmantoo Copper Mine. Recently, following shareholder approval, it changed its name to Investigator Silver Limited and completed a share placement to bolster its balance sheet with approximately A$4.3 million in funds supporting Paris exploration, Molyhil initial work, and broader precious metals opportunities; it also sold interests in certain Northern Territory tenements including Exploration Licence EL22349 and associated mining leases to Tivan Limited as part of portfolio streamlining.
