Business
Mantle Minerals Limited (ASX:MTL) is an Australian mineral exploration and development company focused on gold, nickel, lithium and platinum group metals in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and select areas of the United States; its core assets include the Yule River Project, a 86 square kilometre greenfields site astride the Sholl Shear Zone prospective for gold, nickel-copper sulphide and volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralisation, and the Pardoo Project featuring the shallow Highway Deposit with a JORC-compliant nickel sulphide resource of 16.5 million tonnes grading 0.407% nickel alongside regional targets with nickel and PGM potential; additional holdings encompass the Roberts Hill, Mt Berghaus and Mallina Basin projects prospective for gold, as well as newly staked ground in the northern Bonaparte Basin targeting carbonate-hosted base metals including copper, lead, zinc and silver. Founded in 1998 and headquartered at 168 Stirling Highway, Nedlands, Western Australia, the company formerly known as Caeneus Minerals Ltd rebranded to Mantle Minerals Limited in December 2022 to reflect its strategic focus on high-potential exploration assets. In a transformative 2025 transaction, Mantle completed the AU$13.5 million cash sale of its wholly-owned Mt Roe Mining subsidiary and five associated tenements near Northern Star Resources' Hemi gold deposit to Northern Star Resources Limited, bolstering its cash position to accelerate drilling and geophysical programs at Yule River and Pardoo while pursuing strategic acquisitions in Tier 1 jurisdictions; the company also secured AU$250,000 through a placement of 250 million shares with attached options to support near-term operations.
