Business
Red Hill Minerals Limited (ASX:RHI) is an Australia-based exploration company focused on gold, battery metals, base metals, and aggregates in Western Australia; it receives ongoing royalties from iron ore production and advances iron ore and hard rock projects. Incorporated in 2005 and headquartered at 9 Havelock Street, West Perth, the company holds 100% interests in the 1,600 square kilometer Red Hill Minerals West Pilbara Project targeting precious and battery metals over former RHIOJV tenements; the Pannawonica Channel Iron Deposits project comprising Redgate and Whitegate iron ore mining leases; and the Three Peaks Hard Rock Deposit with quarrying opportunities from porphyry rock outcrops. It also retains a 0.75% royalty on iron ore from the Onslow Iron project, following the 2021 sale of its 40% RHIOJV interest to Mineral Resources Limited for $400 million in cash plus the royalty, with production commencing in May 2024 and royalty payments underway. In April 2025, Red Hill expanded its royalty portfolio by acquiring a 2% gross revenue royalty over tenements in the Sandstone Gold Project from Brightstar Resources for $4 million plus deferred payments. Additionally, the company entered an earn-in joint venture with Peel Mining Ltd on the 1,700 square kilometer Curnamona project across South Australia and New South Wales, with rights to earn 75% by spending $6.5 million over five years; it changed its name from Red Hill Iron Limited in December 2022 to reflect its diversified minerals focus. Operations target the Pilbara and Ashburton regions of Western Australia, with emerging exposure in the Broken Hill region.
