Founded in 1986 and headquartered in West Perth, Western Australia, the company operates primarily in Australia with historical interests in Namibia. In May 2025, Sabre completed the sale of its Ninghan Gold project in Western Australia's Murchison region to Capricorn Metals Limited for A$1.85 million initial consideration comprising A$1.6 million in cash and shares plus a prospective A$250,000 payment, alongside retaining 1% NSR royalties on five tenements and 1.5% NSR on one plus up to A$1.5 million in contingent milestone payments tied to resource definition and mining decisions.
