Business
Triangle Energy (Global) Limited (ASX:TEG) is an oil and gas exploration, development and production company focused on conventional petroleum assets in Australia and the United Kingdom. The company holds a 78.75% interest in the Cliff Head Oil Field in Western Australia's Perth Basin, encompassing the onshore Arrowsmith Stabilisation Plant and offshore Cliff Head Alpha Platform from which it produces and sells crude oil primarily to Asian markets; a 50% operated interest in onshore Perth Basin permits L7 and EP437 where it pursues an active drilling program including the Mount Horner project; a 50% non-operated interest in UK North Sea permit P2628 containing the Cragganmore gas field operated by Athena Energy; and a 50% interest in UK permit P2650 operated by Orcadian Energy. Triangle Energy also maintains investments in State Gas Limited and engages in new venture activities to expand its portfolio. Founded in 2004 and headquartered at 100 Havelock Street, West Perth, Western Australia, the company operates through reportable segments of Western Australia oil production and exploration and corporate activities. In June 2025, Triangle sold its onshore Cliff Head assets to partner Pilot Energy (ASX:PGY) in exchange for a secured promissory note, enabling Pilot to consolidate 100% ownership of those facilities for potential carbon capture and storage repurposing while allowing Triangle to pursue mid-cap growth through domestic and international conventional oil and gas opportunities; the company has issued new securities multiple times in 2025 including 100 million shares in August to support its strategy.
