In a major strategic development completed in November 2025, the company resulted from the all-share business combination between atai Life Sciences N.V. and Beckley Psytech Limited, valuing Beckley at approximately $390 million and integrating its assets including BPL-003 while issuing about 105 million new shares representing 31% ownership to Beckley shareholders; this followed atai's January 2024 $50 million investment acquiring a 36% stake in Beckley and a concurrent $30 million private placement from investors including Ferring Ventures and Adage Capital Partners.
