AgroGalaxy Participações S.A. (AGXY3.SA) operates as a leading retail platform for agricultural inputs and services in Brazilian agribusiness, offering crop inputs including fertilizers and pesticides; seeds through production, processing and repackaging; grains origination, storage in silos with 515 thousand tons static capacity, and sales including soybeans and corn commercialization and export; agricultural machinery and implements; and services such as technical assistance, phytosanitary treatments, insurance consulting, financial solutions, technology platforms for farm management, and barter operations representing 42% of business. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, the company maintains nationwide coverage across 14 states and approximately 1,000 cities through 169 stores including light stores, 73 primary locations, 28 silos, 13 industrial units with three soybean seed plants, and 10 tooling units, targeting small and medium-sized producers with up to 10,000 hectares under cultivation. It recently acquired an additional 10% stake in Agrocat Distribuidora de Insumos Agricolas Ltda. for BRL 29.2 million in August 2024, securing a majority position in the Mato Grosso-based retailer to enhance its regional footprint; secured seeds from Grupo Don Mario and fertilizers for the 2025 safrinha corn crop backed by private equity firm Aqua Capital; reported gross margin expansion to 19.5% in Q2 2024 amid revenue challenges through optimized product mix favoring higher-margin specialties and reduced low-margin fertilizers; and focused on new points-of-sale and micro-hubs for rapid payback aligned with harvest cycles.
