Business
Tronox Pigmentos do Brasil S.A. (CRPG3.SA) manufactures and sells titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigments and related chemical products; it produces sulfuric acid as a by-product, along with titanium-bearing ores including ilmenite, zirconite, rutile and kyanite; its TiO2 pigments, sold under the TiONA and TiKON brands, provide color, brightness, opacity and durability for applications in paints and coatings, plastics, paper, rubbers, household appliances, toys, electronics, packaging, ceramics, glass, leather, synthetic fibers and other consumer and industrial goods. The company operates a vertically integrated production chain with mining at the Guajú mine in Mataraca, Paraíba state; pigment manufacturing at its primary facility in Camaçari, Bahia state; and a commercial office in São Paulo serving Latin American markets. Founded in 1966 as Cristal Pigmentos do Brasil S.A., it is headquartered in Camaçari, Brazil, and functions as a subsidiary of Millennium Inorganic Chemicals Holdings Brasil Ltda. within the global Tronox group, the world's largest vertically integrated TiO2 producer. Formerly known as Cristal Pigmentos do Brasil S.A., it underwent a significant name change and integration following Tronox Limited's acquisition of the Cristal TiO2 business in 2019, which enhanced its operational scale and synergies; in 2025, it reported third-quarter earnings results amid parent company actions including temporary idling of select global facilities, new mine commissioning and a $400 million senior secured notes issuance to bolster liquidity, alongside benefiting from Brazil's finalized anti-dumping duties on Chinese TiO2 imports.
