Bausch Health Companies Inc. develops, manufactures and markets a diversified portfolio of branded pharmaceuticals, generic pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter products and medical devices focused on gastroenterology, hepatology, neurology, dermatology, dentistry, medical aesthetics and ophthalmology; core offerings span Bausch + Lomb vision care products including contact lenses, intraocular lenses and ophthalmic surgical equipment, Salix gastrointestinal therapies such as Xifaxan, Ortho Dermatologics treatments like Retin-A Micro and Arazlo, Diversified neurology and pain medications including Wellbutrin and Relistor, Solta Medical aesthetic devices such as Thermage and Clear + Brilliant, and international branded generics and OTC products. Founded in 1959 and headquartered in Laval, Quebec, Canada, with U.S. operations in Bridgewater, New Jersey, the company conducts business directly or indirectly in over 90 countries across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America through segments including Bausch + Lomb, Salix, International Rx, Ortho Dermatologics and Diversified Products. Recent developments include the completion of the DURECT Corporation acquisition in September 2025 adding larsucosterol, an FDA Breakthrough Therapy candidate for alcohol-associated hepatitis, to its hepatology pipeline; commercial expansion of the OraPharma division into Canada and Puerto Rico in November 2025 to enhance access to periodontal treatments like Arestin; acquisition of Chinese aesthetics distributor Wuhan Shibo Zhenmei Technology Co., Ltd. in December 2025; Canadian approvals and launches of CABTREO acne therapy in October 2024 and Thermage FLX in April 2025; and international regulatory nods for Clear + Brilliant Touch in multiple Asia Pacific markets in 2024-2025.
