Business
Global Yatırım Holding A.Ş. is a diversified investment holding company headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, engaged in port infrastructure, clean energy, natural gas distribution, mining, real estate development, and financial services. Founded in 1990 as an equity brokerage house, the company has transformed into an international conglomerate operating across Europe, the Americas, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. The company operates through several core business segments: Port Operations, managed primarily through its subsidiary Global Ports Holding Plc, providing cruise port management, terminal operation services, passenger turnaround and transit facilities, berthing, stevedoring, baggage handling, and marine pilotage and tugboat services, as well as commercial port operations handling container, bulk, and general cargo; Clean Energy and Gas Distribution, managed via subsidiaries Consus Enerji and Naturelgaz, providing non-pipeline compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas distribution, bulk and automotive gas logistics for industrial and transport clients, alongside renewable electricity generation utilizing biomass power plants, distributed solar photovoltaic systems, and cogeneration and trigeneration facilities; Mining, operated through Straton Maden, extracting, processing, and exporting industrial minerals, specifically sodium feldspar, potassium feldspar, and quartz supplied to the ceramics, glass, tile, and sanitaryware manufacturing industries; Real Estate, encompassing the acquisition, development, leasing, and asset management of commercial shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and residential real estate projects; and Financial Services, operated through Global Menkul Değerler and asset management affiliates, providing equity and fixed-income brokerage, corporate finance advisory, initial public offering underwriting, discretionary portfolio management, and wealth advisory services to domestic and international institutional and retail clients. In recent major developments, Global Yatırım Holding executed a strategic take-private transaction for its primary port operating subsidiary, Global Ports Holding Plc, acquiring minority shareholdings and completing its delisting from the London Stock Exchange to streamline corporate governance and enhance strategic flexibility. Concurrently, the group significantly expanded its global port footprint by securing long-term concession agreements and operational mandates across key international destinations, including the San Juan Cruise Port in Puerto Rico, the Saint Lucia Cruise Port, the Bremerhaven Cruise Port in Germany, the Liverpool Cruise Port in the United Kingdom, and the Casablanca Cruise Port in Morocco. In the energy division, Naturelgaz expanded its operational distribution capacity and logistics fleet for compressed and liquefied natural gas to address growing industrial demand, while Consus Enerji increased its operational capacity through the integration of hybrid solar power installations with existing biomass generation facilities. Additionally, the holding company completed targeted debt refinancing initiatives across its core infrastructure divisions to optimize capital structure and support continued capital deployment into sustainable port and clean energy infrastructure assets.
