- Zedur Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. is a Turkey-based independent power producer and infrastructure contracting company primarily engaged in renewable electricity generation, energy storage project development, and construction engineering services. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Ankara, Turkey, the company operates across two principal business segments: Energy Generation and Construction & Contracting. The company's portfolio of products and services comprises: renewable electricity generation from run-of-river hydroelectric power plants (HEPP), including the Cukurcay Narli Hydroelectric Power Plant; solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation through licensed and unlicensed solar plants such as the Kocadere Solar Power Plant, Cenger Solar Power Plant, and Nif Solar Power Plant; wholesale and retail electricity marketing, with power production supplied to the national electrical grid primarily under the Turkish Renewable Energy Resources Support Mechanism (YEKDEM) feed-in tariff structure; development, engineering, and operation of grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) paired with solar generation assets; turnkey civil engineering and general contracting for superstructure and infrastructure projects, encompassing residential housing communities, commercial complexes, administrative office towers, shopping malls, industrial plants, and tourism facilities; and wholesale trading and procurement of building and construction materials. The company operates domestic facilities and asset portfolios across several provinces in Turkey, including Ankara, Isparta, Denizli, Mugla, and Konya, serving state grid operators, industrial energy consumers, commercial enterprises, and municipal or private property developers.
In recent strategic and operational developments, the company executed a comprehensive corporate repositioning, changing its commercial title from Utopya Turizm Insaat Isletmecilik Ticaret A.S. to Zedur Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. to align its corporate identity with its core focus on the clean energy and storage transition. To optimize organizational efficiency and consolidate power generation activities, the company executed an intra-group simplified corporate merger combining its subsidiary Dinar Elektrik Uretim A.S. into Isparta Elektrik Uretim A.S. In advancing its strategy in the energy storage sector, Zedur Enerji expanded operations through its subsidiaries Diyar Batarya ve Yenilenebilir Enerji Yatirimlari A.S. and Cinar Batarya ve Yenilenebilir Enerji Yatirimlari A.S., successfully securing official electricity generation licensing approvals from Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) for storage-integrated solar projects, including the Konya Yunak D-GES solar plus battery storage project. Additionally, the company raised its registered capital ceiling from TRY 200 million to TRY 1.25 billion covering the 2024 to 2028 operational period and completed internal capital injections into its battery storage operating entities to finance ongoing grid-scale renewable installations and capacity expansions.
