Founded in 1980 as Asian Hotels Limited and renamed Asian Hotels (North) Limited in 2010, the company is headquartered in New Delhi and forms part of the Jatia Group, primarily serving business and leisure travelers in the Indian hospitality sector with operations concentrated in northern India. In recent developments, the company entered a definitive share subscription agreement on October 14, 2025, with Elana Holdings Pte. Ltd. of Singapore for a Rs 764.94 crore capital infusion through issuance of 23.18 million equity shares at Rs 330 each to retire outstanding debts, pending shareholder approval at an EGM on November 8, 2025, which will result in Elana Holdings holding a 54.37% stake as a financial investor without control; additionally, on July 28, 2025, it incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary with Rs 5 lakh authorized capital to pursue real estate activities, marking a strategic diversification beyond hospitality and power generation.
